Be afraid … Be very afraid

So you spent the last week creating this concept only for an online tutor to see it and break it down in less than an hour and now everybody is doing it . Everybody is copying you and your work looses value . It’s a fear that makes us offensive sometimes towards online marketplaces that sell 1$ Cinema 4D and After Effects.

If you ever feel threatened by this flood of “talent” and “copycats” you should push forward for your survival and not roll over . You should learn new stuff and the logic behind it . Leave copycats copying you and move on to a new project .Stay on top by staying one step ahead of everyone . Arrive first and leave first to the next big trend in design . Mix things in unusual ways . People have been doing cool graphics for more than twenty years now with tools not even half as powerful as the ones you have now.

Tools now are stronger than ever its only a question if you are strong enough to take them to their limit . It’s about patience to learn and try once , twice and a million times . It’s about taste and vision . You might be a motion designer but sometimes it’s easier to forget about the design and get sucked into motion .
